In case you’ve been living under a rock, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year Purely Boston and the Ellie Fund are teaming up to support Massachusetts Breast Cancer patients. You can join the cause this October by purchasing a Make Breast Cancer Uncommon t-shirt. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Ellie Fund in an effort to help local women undergoing Breast Cancer treatment.
An additional portion of proceeds will go DIRECTLY to three local women fighting Breast Cancer right now:
Long-time Boston resident and essential health care worker Emily discovered she was positive for the BRCA 1 gene mutation in June 2020. She made the brave decision to undergo a double mastectomy and the final staging is scheduled for November 1, 2021.
In March 2021, mother-of-two Stefanie noticed “dimpling and striation” on her left breast during a workout. The following months would be a whirlwind of events ranging from doctor’s appointments, infections, a mastectomy, and divorce proceedings.
Despite no family history of Breast Cancer, 30-year old Lindsay received a stage 3 diagnosis in May 2020. Miraculously, she was able to receive IVF treatments before chemo and froze 50 eggs.
Every t-shirt purchased helps support Massachusetts Breast Cancer patients.
What’s the Ellie Fund?
In 1993 siblings Eliot and Jeff Popkin established the “Eleanor Popkin Scholarship Fund” in honor of their mother, Eleanor, who passed away from Breast Cancer. Deeply impacted by the angels who assisted the Popkin family during their mother’s battle, Eliot and Jeff’s mission became clear: to provide free services to women and families undergoing Breast Cancer treatment.

Delivering Prepared Meals
Acupuncture and Oncology Massage Therapy (Metastatic patients only)
