Bruins Bring Home Two Game Winning Streak: Hosting Vancouver Canucks

The Boston Bruins took down the Minnesota Wild in regulation with a spectacular offense.

The Bruins went on to beat the Wild 6-1 with goals scored by David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Anders Bjork, Jake Debrusk and Torey Krug who scored twice. On top of Krug scoring two goals, he also notched two assists.

Now the Boston Bruins return home they will be hosting the Vancouver Canucks (30-18-5). The most memorable match up between the two teams would bring us back to the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals. From then to now you could say the teams have changed.

With Tuukka Rask coming back from his concussion the veteran goaltender has been playing phenomenal. Rask has won his last 3 games only allowing 5 goals and currently has a SV% of .927.

On the other side of the fence, you have the David Backes situation. Backes has been placed on waivers a couple months ago now. Bruce Cassidy really has no desire to play Backes, and also has no intention of sending him to Providence. The veteran winger would love to play in the NHL still but did not request a trade at this time.

Starting Goalies:

Boston– Tuukka, Rask- GAA 2.23 / SV%.927 (18W/ 4L/ 6OTL)

Vancouver– Jakob, Markstrom- GAA 2.70 / SV%.917 (20W/ 13L/ 3OTL)

Tonight’s Game: 7PM- TD Garden- Boston, Mass.
