As the Boston Bruins (24-7-10) start the new year they look to host the Columbus Blue Jackets (18-14-8). With the Blue Jackets winning their last game of the year and the Bruins doing the opposite, this could be either a great start to the new year or back to how we ended.

The Boston Bruins are still leading the Atlantic with a hefty lead with 58 points. Right behind them are the Toronto Maple Leafs with 49. But the real issue Boston I’m still facing are injuries. Luckily both Torey Krug and David Krejci are back to health and will join the line up tonight. There are still concerns with Charlie McAvoy but he will remain a game time decision.

Starting Goalies:

Boston– Tuukka Rask-GAA 2.31 / SV% .923 (15 W/ 4 L/ 5 OTL)

Columbus– Elvis Merzlikins- GAA 3.14 / SV% .900 (1 W/ 4 L/ 4 OTL)

Tonight’s Game: 7PM- TD Garden- Boston, Mass.
