Holiday Break Ends: Bruins Goto Buffalo For One Game Then Host Buffalo (12/27-12/29)

I apologize for the delay in Boston Bruin updates but seeing how the holiday season is coming to an end this is what we have missed:

12/23- The Boston Bruins came off of a huge win against the Washington Capitals (7-3 in regulation). That game went on to be a great toe to toe matchup. Between players getting benched due to injury, players thrown out for instigating fights and a referee getting the majority of the hits. Tom Wilson who was starting things off with David Pastrnak went on to get ejected after throwing some punches to the side of the referee while trying to split the two apart. Tuukka Rask went on to face 42 shots only allowing 3 goals in.

12/27- The Boston Bruins went on to defeat the Buffalo Sabres (3-0 in regulation) and with that being the opening to a two game weekend getaway, Jaroslav Halak went on to get his 3rd shutout of the season (50th overall in his career). The three goals scored by the Boston Bruins came from Brandon Carlo and two goals scored by Patrice Bergeron. Despite the Bruins facing multiple injuries on their defense they managed to stay ahead of the Buffalo Sabres and go on to win. With Torey Krug and Charlie McAvoy out Bruce Cassidy has to recall Steven Kampfer from Providence.

12/29- The Boston Bruins (23-7-9) will face the Buffalo Sabres (17-15-7) back in Boston. With the Boston Bruins coming off a two game win streak they look to extend the streak with a victory tonight. It looks to be an easy win, right? Boston just beat Buffalo two nights ago with a shutout. But in the game of hockey anything is possible.

Starting Goalies:

Boston– Tuukka Rask- GAA 2.32/ SV%.923 (14W /4L /5OTL)

Buffalo– Linus Ullmark- GAA 2.79/ SV%.914 (11W /9L /3OTL)

Tonight’s Game: 7PM- TD Garden- Boston, Mass.
