Boston Bruins Take On Nashville Predators

The Boston Bruins (21-7-8) are coming off a huge loss last Thursday night to the New York Islanders (3-2- Boston lose in a shoot out). Just as we mentioned in Thursday’s. article there were two key factors. 1.) The Bruins need to score first and keep the lead. Play conservative. They ended up scoring first but they couldn’t get the job done in regulation, nor overtime. 2.) Younger and new talent coming up and performing. Anders Bjork got the game started off by scoring first. Then later on Torey Krug went on to score as well.

The Nashville Predators (16-12-6) come to the TD Garden tonight looking for a victory but so are the Boston Bruins. Just like the Bruins, Nashville is also coming off a loss as well (5-4- Senators win in overtime). Some key players on the Nashville Predators to watch out for would be Filip Forsberg ( 12 Goals / 12 Assists), Matt Duchene ( 8 Goals / 15 Assists) and Goaltender Pekka Rinne (GAA 2.99 / SV% .894)

For the Boston Bruins and Coach Bruce Cassidy players like Sean Kuraly, Anders Bjork, and Jake Debrusk have been playing great. You might even say they have been playing better hockey than David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. Brad Marchand is currently going through a 11 game stretch with no goals but in the last 5 games he has gotten 5 assists.

Starting goalies:

Boston– Jaroslav, Halak- GAA 2.26 / SV%.928- W8 / L3 / OTL 3

Nashville– Pekke, Rinne- GAA 2.99 / SV%.894- W11 / L5 / OTL 3

Tonight’s game: 7PM- TD Garden- Boston, Mass.
