Instruments aren’t usually what people think of when they picture musicals. Good, bad, or otherwise, it’s mostly flashy costumes, soaring lyrics, and ostentatious dance numbers (think: Grease, Mamma Mia, West Side Story, or even Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark ).
