Art In Bloom 

The Museum of Fine Arts welcomes Spring with Art In Bloom, their annual flower and art festival. Tonight launches with a special preview and opens to the public tomorrow morning starting at 10am. Daily events throughout the weekend include: tours of the flower arrangements throughout the galleries, demonstrations for arranging flowers at home and outdoor walking tours of the museum’s campus and beyond. A Community Day will be featured on Sunday, offering activities for the kids.

South Shore 5k Run/Walk 

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to break a sweat at the 43rd annual South Shore 5k Run/Walk. Get ready to take in beautiful views of the Boston skyline and ocean as seen from the Squantum and Marina Bay neighborhoods of Quincy. This course can be challenging at times, as it has a couple hills. Course is well paved and is stroller-friendly to bring along the kids! Race is held rain or shine. All fees are nonrefundable.

Harvard Arts First Festival

ARTS FIRST is Harvard University’s annual four-day festival showcasing student and faculty creativity. Produced by the Office for the Arts at Harvard with support from the Harvard Board of Overseers, the festival is a public event with many free performances and activities for Harvard and community members of all ages.

Pour The Core Hard Cider Festival 

You can taste more than 40 of the best local and internationally produced varieties at this fun festival at Cruiseport Boston. Along with sampling cider from your very own five-ounce souvenir tasting glass, you’ll also enjoy live music, food and all kinds of interesting seminars on the making of this apple-based beverage. Scheduled to participate are local favorites like Downeast Cider & High Limb Cider, best-selling U.S. brands like Woodchuck Hard Cider and Angry Orchard, and a variety of imported ciders and perries from Spain, England and elsewhere. Part of the proceeds will benefit The Barton Center for Diabetes Education.

Power Beer Fest 

Together under one roof more than 50 Massachusetts Brewers are coming together to launch the first ever, “Power Beer Fest”. Proceeds of each sale will benefit the Massachusetts Brewers Guild, a nonprofit organization that protects and promotes the interests of craft brewers across the Commonwealth. Power Beer Fest is the only beer event in the state organized by Massachusetts Craft Brewers to raise funds to create educational and marketing programs for local breweries, as well as support its government affairs work at the legislative level.
